ABSTRACT
Systems of Recurrence Equations
(SRE) have been shown to accurately model Analog and Mixed Signal (AMS)
circuits and systems which link digital systems to the analog world. In this
paper we present an efficient SRE simulation algorithm and its prototype implementation.
A comparison of speed of simulation of several benchmark circuits shows that
modeling the AMS design using SRE and simulation using the proposed simulation
algorithm can significantly speed up the simulation without losing accuracy of
simulation results as compared to traditional HDL AMS simulators.
